Tokyo Paralympics: All Atlantic provinces will be represented at the 2020 Paralympic Games

The Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic is proud to support para athletes and para sport coaches in the pursuit of excellence, which will be on full display in Tokyo from August 24 – September 5, 2021. The Canadian Paralympic Team for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games is comprised of 128 athletes (including guides), seven of whom are Atlantic Canadian para athletes. 

Para athletes from Atlantic Canada who will be competing in Tokyo are:

Amy Burk – PE – Goalball

Andrew Todd – NS – Para Rowing

Danielle Dorris – NB  - Para Swimming

Katarina Roxon -  NL – Para Swimming

Kamylle Frenette – NB – Para Triathlon

Danielle DuPlessis – NB – Wheelchair Basketball

Colin Higgins – NB – Wheelchair Basketball

In addition to the Atlantic para athletes who are Tokyo bound, there will be two Atlantic coaches: Duncan Crawford (PE) with para archery and Ryan Allen (NB) with para swimming. Nova Scotia’s Jeffrey Dunbrack will also be at the Paralympic Games as wheelchair basketball’s high performance director.

Paralympic.ca will be the hub of all things Canadian Paralympic Team, while live coverage will be available from the Canadian Paralympic Media Consortium, including broadcast partners CBC/Radio-Canada, AMI, and Sportsnet. This is the first time for primetime coverage of the Paralympic Games in Canada.
