The Support4Sport vip coaching program was created to recognize the contribution of coaches in communities across Nova Scotia. vip is not a certification or requirement, but a proactive opportunity for coaches to excel in ethical leadership.

Here's how:
- Create a Sideline Learning profile:
Create Profile Here - Complete the registration form
- Upload proof of completed requirements. (It's OK if some requirements aren't done!)
- Complete remaining requirements
- Upload completed requirements to your Sideline profile
- Once approved by a vip admin, you will receive a congratulatory email detailing next steps for receiving your perks!
What do I have to do to be accepted?
The Support4Sport vip coach program is designed to raise the bar for what it means to be a coach in Nova Scotia. Completion of this application form allows us to check your vip program eligibility and determine your next steps to meet the criteria. To officially obtain the vip coaching status, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a member of your sport’s Provincial Sport Organization
- Agree to meet minimum safe sport training recommendations
- Trained or Certified to coach the level of sport indicated in your application
- Obtain three Professional Development points within the past 12 months
- Complete Safe Sport Training:
- CAC Safe Sport Training (free)
- Commit to Kids*
- NCCP Making Ethical Decisions (free for NS coaches)
- Submit an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC)*

Support4Sport vip Coaches
To date, over 1000 coaches from across the province of Nova Scotia have applied to be a Support4Sport vip coach. Of these applicants, over 400 coaches have obtained official vip status. We would like to recognize these coaches for their commitment to safe sport, ethical leadership and creating a positive impact in their communities.
